Measuring 6,973 yards from the championship tee boxes, the course can be viewed as two distinct nine hole loops; the opening half is probably the more forgiving - although there are water hazards to be avoided, sound strategy and accurate driving should yield birdie chances. The closing stretch however is more exacting, particularly the final three holes, which are more exposed to the coastal winds and demand powerful and precise ball-striking.
Bordered by pine, olive, carob and palm trees, the setting is delightful, and the course is no less impressive. The front nine features wide fairways and is the best chance of good scoring, as the more challenging holes undoubtedly belong to the closing stretch.
